Millie is a support dog that comes to the office on Tuesdays to help kids who are anxious about shots or blood drawing.

Ann Sooby, Account Manager

Ann Sooby, our Accounts Manager, has been a loyal employee since 1989. Ann helps families to keep their accounts current. She assists with insurance inquiries and submissions. Any family with special financial needs can depend on Ann to help in making suitable payment arrangements.

Tracy Wismer, Receptionist/Billing

Tracy Wismer (2004) is our front desk receptionist and billing associate. She is hard working and tireless, and always gets it done.

Secretarial Staff

Our secretarial employees, Jill Hague (1998), and Ekta Bedi (2021) help us out on weekends and holidays. They all have the energy and enthusiasm that keep us all young in our work.

Ashley Ferrante, Registered Nurse

Ashley joined our practice in October 2009. She is a recent graduate of Mercer County Community College. Her training has included rotations at Princeton Hospital, RWJ, and Capitol Health Hospital. Ashley is a dedicated worker and her previous experience as a nanny allows her to relate exceptionally well to children. Being the daughter of our former Head Nurse, Colleen, she fits right in and we are thrilled to have her.

Diane Brock, Medical Assistant

Diane began working for The Pediatric Group in March of 2017. She is currently a biomedical science major at Bucks County Community College, where she is working toward becoming a respiratory therapist. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and their dog, Michael.

Terrie Batezel, Lab/X-Ray

Terrie joined us in 1983 as a radiological technician. She studied and trained extensively to assume laboratory technician duties, and now focuses primarily on running our lab. Terrie’s easy manner and constant smile keep the patients happy through whichever procedure they may require.

Vaccination for RSV
- There is a new passive vaccination for RSV in infants called Beyfortus (nirsevimab). RSV or respiratory syncytial virus is an infection that causes infants to develop fever, feel ill, wheeze, and have difficulty breathing. Each year between 80,000 and 100,000 children are hospitalized because of RSV infection; 100-300 child die annually from the disease.
- Beyfortus is a long acting, monoclonal antibody that is available for all children under 8 months of age both during and entering their first RSV season (fall through spring). The injection can also be given to select children during and entering their second RSV season (up to age 2 years).
- The immunization is expensive, but most insurances now cover the cost. The vaccine is very effective, reducing the likelihood by up to 80% that a child will not be hospitalized by RSV. Immunization is also safe with very few reported side effects.
- There are other ways to prevent RSV infection. A vaccine called Abrysvo is available to pregnant moms during the third trimester. While it has some side effects, it has been shown to be up to 50% effective at reducing RSV admissions in infants. The same reduction in hospital admissions has been shown among infants who breast feed - the easiest, least expensive, and safest option of all.
