Covid vaccine for children 6 months -11 years

The Pediatric Group now has the Moderna Spikevax covid vaccine for children aged 6 months to 11 years.

We recommend that all children receive at least a primary series of two doses PLUS one booster shot (or recover from a covid infection in lieu of the booster shot). Children with special needs should receive the vaccine annually.

Because of recent statements from the FDA and HHS, we are unsure if the vaccine will be covered for well children by your insurance, though it should be covered for children with an underlying medical condition (asthma, diabetes, obesity, immunocompromised state, depression, ADHD, etc.).

Children receiving the vaccine must REMAIN IN THE OFFICE for ten minutes after the shot.
